Yeah, yeah, it's been a while, we know. There is a lot of stuff going on in the background, so let's focus on a few of the big ones:
* HackThisSite v4/v5? - With the last update to the HackThisSite main website, we began work with a custom MVC framework to begin an easy migration path for our eventual change to v4 or v5 or whatever. Right now, we are experimenting with a few ideas -- concrete5 and laravel, just to name a couple -- so development is going to be less public for a while during our testing and implementation of this. Really, this may even be considered a probable v4 or v5 .. but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
* System Upgrades - Due to Operating System life cycles and aging hardware, several upgrade downtimes are being planned and scheduled. We'll make announcements about the larger planned ones, and for the unplanned ones we are getting ready to deploy some additional methods to communicate status updates.
* New Project - While we are working on HackThisSite, we saw the need for a particular new website in light of several recent events. This will not be a replacement of HackThisSite in any way, but will instead be a project of ours that we will actively maintain. More information will hopefully be coming in the next week or two when we get closer to a launch date.
Plus, we have community members planning and proposing new projects, challenges, and ideas every day. When successful ones make the cut (like our recent addition of Forensic Missions), we'll be adding them in! If you would like to get involved, you can always contact us on the Forums or on our IRC in the #comdev channel.
