([msg=2235]see My network[/msg])
Heya guys.
Thanks to the funding of my parents, and a bit of creative exploration, I have got my hands on a network switch, four computers and some network cable. And after spending a bit of time in the last few days I've installed Windows Xp Pro on two computers and I'm currently installing Ubuntu on a third. I'm still debating what to use for the fourth computer, preferably windows because me and my mates are complete noobs.
But enough background info,
I plan to use the network for hacking and learning network security. A couple of mates will be joining me for wargame sessions on the network. Does anyone have suggestions for challenges, the sort of operating systems I should be using or anything like that? I'm running Apache on one computer (an Xp Pro) and I've left a few vulnerabilities in the website I've made for my friends to use (They are absolute beginners, even I have an edge over them)
Can anyone suggest any thing I should be doing to the computers to make them easier to start hacking on? I'm really not to sure where to start.
Thanks in advance
