Javascript mission 6

Seems still broken?

Also am unable to send messages, so can't follow that piece of advice for help in this. Don't know if it's because I didn't post yet/wasn't a member long. I'll check again if I can send one after this but otherwise, any advice on how to complete it? (Know the password, but can't get the form to take passwords at all...)

Edit: Never mind. After trying four different browsers across two different OS, I found one that would allow me to enter it. This part felt harder than the challenge itself.

nothing comes up.

I could complete this challenge on Firefox but not on Chrome. Chrome is not loading the needed script, throwing the following error in the console.

Refused to execute script from 'https://www.hackthissite.org/missions/javascript/6/checkpass' because its MIME type ('text/plain') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.

I'm new and I don't know how to configure Chrome to fix this.

Other then that, your stuck with the issue and its Chrome only. The developers have said no to making a more convenient way to toggle strict MIME type checking. I stuck with firefox for all the javascript missions and completed them without any browser-based issue.

I'm just gonna expose my newness here and ask. What is a header and how do I edit it? Is it just the contents under the <head> tag in a page? That line doesn't look like HTML though.

Here it means the HTTP header, not the <head> tag in HTML. The terminology is confusing, but when you're talking about "X-(something)" and headers, you'll quickly learn it's not HTML headers they're talking about. Same with email, you might want to read through a source of one some time.

I figured out mission 6. I was stuck in Google Chrome and read on forums to try Firefox. My password worked in firefox.

I thought the solution had something to do with editing the code but I suppose not.

I don't think this level was weird, instead, I think it was deceptive, I was looking at the source but not from where I should have been.
