I have been trying this mission on and off for a while now I have read loads on Directory Traversal but just don't seem to be able to get anywhere with this mission. I was wondering if there is anyone who I could PM to talk through my approach, as I have a feeling I am massively over complicating it.

I have one problem with this challenge: it seems that file submissions are not actually stored as they should be, but rather the solution only clicks once everything is in place. Prior to consulting this thread, I had considered the same method, but it was ruled out since I tried to create test pages before attempting to overwrite.

That's a nice informative first post. I think I'm on the right track. I've finished the basic missions now seeing how far I can get through the realistic ones. It's a nice learning experience.
