Another suggestion would be to make it a picture.

Neither of these are foolproof, of course, but they help a bit. Typically, some noob crawls pages, looking for a regular expression that will match most email addresses, e.g. [A-Za-z]{3,15}@[A-Za-z]{3,15}\.(com|edu|org|gov) , and adds this to a list. (That expression is probably waaaaay off, been months since I've touched regex).

The reason why I thought of that was that some douschebag did that to my email address, threw it up on pastebin. I got reamed hardcore. My guess is that gmail would be much better at catching this, but it's still a valid suggestion if you expect your site to get any significant traffic.

Thats a very good idea, I think il change it to that. And What about using the "mailto" html code to make an in page email sender?

Never used mailto, so I wouldn't know. But if you're going to be doing something like that, your email address is probably going to have to be in plain-text, so the issue of crawling comes up again.

The mailto won't work - after all, crawlers scan the HTML of the page. A mailto link is part of the html.

Not only will mailto: not hide your email, but it's also fairly useless. Basically when a user clicks on it, Outlook or a similar email client will pop up with their address in the Send To field. I really don't think Outlook is popular anymore.
Assume that everything I say is or could be a lie.

Well, I use Thunderbird, and the same thing happens. It becomes useless when people use gmail on the web (personally, I prefer to just add my gmail accounts to Thunderbird...it's a lot more convenient).

My suggestion for it would be getting a solid web hosting. Best choice would be HostNOC web hosting.
