Hi All,

Good day,

Can anyone teach me how to create my own website?, I would love to learn how to, since I have this plan to build my own business in the future.

([msg=96604]see Re: LEARN TO CREATE WEBSITE[/msg])

1) You should learn the basics of HTML, Javascript, CSS and PHP, als you should learn SQL.
2) You should learn how to work with webservers and mysql databases
3) Learn how to install different CMS(Content Management systems), like Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, Opencart, etc(if you want a fast website with little work on it)
4) Learn how to make your own CMS, from scratch or using a MVC framework like code igniter

5) If you want to make your own business you should also look into CRM(Customer Relationship Management), to manage your business, a good open source one is EspoCRM(to install it, you need to learn the first 3 steps).

6) Also if you wat to hire developers you should consider team management:
- A wiki using mediawiki
- A bug tracker using mantis
- A repository using SVN, Mercury, Git
- A testing framework using TestLink

Options 5 and 6 are not necessary, are just necessary logistics for businesses.

Now in more detail, in windows:
- For beginners, I suggest you should Install XAMPP(It is a package that comes with apache, mysql, and mercury mail server)

- Install a developement IDE, a good IDE for web developement is Aptana Studio

- You should save your projects into a Repository

Mercurial for version Control:

Now in more detail, in Linux(Ubuntu):

- Install LAMP in Ubuntu Server

- Install Aptana Studio on Ubuntu

- SVN for Version Control(assembla a good repository):

- Mercurial for version Control(sudo apt install tortoisehg, with bitbucket):
