Ive tried using the irc on the homepages website and it crashes every time.

i downloaded mIRC but it says i only have 30 days to use it.

How to i get into irc so i can talk with some of you and learn some things?

There are two ways to do this:

If you click the link on the very top that says "IRC" then you are going to need a client, such as mIRC. Unfortunately, that and Xchat have a trial period. I have yet to find a decent IRC client for Windows that doesn't expire.

Now, the way I used to do it was to look at the links on the left and click "IRC Chat" under Communicate. This will bring you to an embedded Java IRC program. If this one is what's crashing, I can only say that it must be something on your end, because I just tried it and it's working fine. Perhaps you need to update Java?

There's plenty of free IRC clients for Windows, just do a quick Google search. They might not be as customizable or have some of the features of mIRC or X-Chat, but they're more than sufficient.
