Are you using UNIX commands? If so, you only need one: the command that gives you a list of files in the current directory. Once you have found the command you need, you need to find out how to add your command to the end of the cal command that runs when you hit the 'view' button. This is equivalent to finding out how to run multiple commands at once. You should be able to find out all of this by just googling UNIX commands and doing a little research.

i know the command to list the files, but the commands to edit the files or see whats in them dont work, am i missing something

So i got the command to list the files, and also got the command to display the file but im stuck now i have no clue what to do. I listed the files and opened the file on the line but just the is showing if i were to view the file alone.

Isn't that all you have to do?

I mean, doesn't the file contain the password?

I think there are several files, be sure to list all of them.

i don't know what I'm doing wrong I'm stuffing up somewhere is this a Unix command in it self "ls"
