Grump .... stuck ... whine

900 billion dollars were spent on guns this year! Now rumours are spreading that seculas Ltd. is developing an awful laser aided weapon, and that they already have patents pending. Please try to find out what their latest patents are about.

Hi there,

I have a question concerning the Zip. I have it, but the aim now is to find the password. pk***ck.exe is looking for the password for now 2 hours. Thus I'd like to know if this is normal or if I have done something wrong. How long did it take to you?

Thank you in advance.

Well i didnt do it myself. Me and a friend are tackling this mission still but we managed to crack that password within about 30 minutes. Try different compressions and see if it goes any faster. It may vary with the speed of your PC also.
Good Luck

Thanks,

It is still seeking the password..
I don't know if I have to change the compression because according to the article, I am on the good way. I mean that the file, once compressed with particular options, has a size of 1245 bytes (i.e 12 bytes less than the encrypted file 1257 bytes). That's exactly what I have. Thus maybe I have written the wrong command when using pk***ck.exe?

Hi there again,

Now I have pass the part with the ZIP file, but, I have a new problem!
In fact, I am supposed to read the admin messages, but I can't manage to do it. I have tried after with the article, but I might do something wrong given that I can't access the admin webmail.
I probably can't manage to do it because I don't really understand how the explanation should work.
If anyone could give me some explanation. You can PM me if you prefer.
Thank you in advance.

Pk has taken me almost 2 hours also. How far did you get on the "password search" it is at like d88 for me. Which if it is hexadecimal would make 3464 (don't flame me if I did my math wrong). That is a lot of searching, and I was wondering if this is right. Do you guys remember about when the password was found.

Thanks,

Took no more than about 5 minutes to get the password. You might need to toy with the compression, I know I did but I can't remember if it worked.
