New to hacking

Hi, I just finished the basic challenges and found them pretty easy all around but now that I'm on the the realistic missions, I'm having a little bit more difficulty. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me out or if there was a sort of beginning groups that I could join. If you're interested plz message me. I would really appreciate it, thanks.

Have you tried looking in the forum? Every mission has its own thread.

Keep going. Your going to get there. Just keep learning how stuff works. The way to become a hacker is to know how stuff works, not to look up how to hack stuff.

This would be my first post here, I havent tried any puzzles or anything. Sounds interesting though, I hope you got thru the ones giving ya a problem. I always looked at hacking as the means and intention to take apart, to dissect, or reasons of understanding, how things work. I see hacking relating to more than computers too... but the sheer adventure and exploration... seems rather exhilarating.

OP, care to give us an update?

Kali offers many tools to attack passwords. If you, somehow, got access to the hashed password then try with John The Ripper (with a proper dictionary). If the target is an online service, like SSH or HTTP authentication, google something about Hydra :D
