let's pose this question as the most viable situation you might face.
You have a broadband connection with a dynamic ip, you use a wireless router for you home network, and lets say you are stupid enough to not put any security on it(or some lovely airhacker grabs the signal by breaking in)
All the sudden you get warning from your isp provider that you are illegally downloading and viewing questionable materials.
then later you get BUSTED, by the damn feds, movie people or whoever for copyright infringement.
Who Gets Busted, and how do they determine it. Does having a unsecured wireless network give you Plausible Deniability?
how do they prove it was you not your neighbor or a passerby on a cellphone.

and on the other side of that lets say that the person who has the network gets busted for like stealing company files or child porn couldn't he just pin it on anybody who used his network?
