Hey guys I wanted to share my new setup and see what you think. I'm still new to networking and linux altogether. I'm mostly familiar with C and Ruby but this has sparked my interest. I just moved into a new house I'm now that I'm dabbling with networking and pen testing I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction with my new gear.

I have have an ALFA AGA-2424T(https://store.rokland.com/products/alfa ... a-n-female) antenna set up at my home running to an ALFA AWUSO36NH network adapter (https://www.alfa.com.tw/products_show.php?pc=34&ps=21) and then to an ALFA R36 Repeater (https://www.amazon.com/Alfa-R36-Repeate ... B004ZF0I3U) and finally to a netgear FS105 switch (https://www.netgear.com/support/product ... ar_organic).----internet-----> Computer

I don't need to spell out what I'm aiming to do but I'm just asking for critique on my setup. Again I'm new to networking so maybe some good study topics on kali and general linux knowledge.

I also have 3 laptops and 2 desktops fully upgraded with i7 cpu and minimum 8GB DDR3 RAM. I was thinking of using one of my desktops as a firewall for my work network.

Thanks guys.

I've had problems with authentication even with networks that I have set up within my home. I know the antenna is pointing away from my home but I feel like the signal should be strong enough to inject.
