Actually I have a book on Cryptology that serves my needs for now. I was looking over some math notes from a textbook I have and a section in Linear Algebra briefs over some applied Cryptology in mathematics. I'll check the book you recommended.

I don't know of any books which would really help you neophyte.

I'm sure you can surf around to find pretty much anything you want to know. I know hellboundhackers had a lot of beginner level stegano tutorials and challenges which you may find helpful.

From what I understand Steganography is the art of hiding messages. The only mission i've done so far is mission 3 which is quite easy , all I had to do is Message edited by HTS Moderation Staff. Do not post how to solve a mission.
As for mission one I tried the same technique and well haven't found anything except what I beleive is morse code or something in that region and i'm having quite an hard time trying to decipher it , has anyone got hints or anything on it?

above is a spoiler.
And can anyone know of a site/book/article which gives several examples of how stego problems are solved (tried some googling). I cannot even understand how to solve stego 1(don't get the tips). I think I need spoiling a bit before I get it ;D.

Stego 1 has me stumped... and I solved stego 8 with no problems. (I loved that one by the way.) But Im just missing something on this one. When they say " two null bytes", do they mean "00", "0000", or "/0/0"? And whats with all this talk of coordinates I hear?

On Stego 8 there is an *obvious* password, but it is not working for me. Is this the one I am looking for, or is it just to throw you off.
