if you figured out 8, then this is a piece of cake. If I can give you all a tip, sketch out the directory tree. Having something visual works great

I hope i'm not saying too much here, but you can actually do lvl 9 without even thinking about how the file path may look like if you just focus your mind onto the right part of the mission description.

Forget what everyone else has said so far.

Mission 9's blurb sucks...plain and simple. There's no special, intelligent way to "read into" it or "read between the lines." Moreover, it obviously contain an egregious typo, that being the "<--" when it clearly should say "<!--". Why the moderators have not yet addressed this is a mystery to me, and it only serves to misdirect people, it seems.

Just ignore everyone else's previous comments. They're not helpful.
More importantly, don't get hung up on the second half of Mission 9's blurb. It would be better if you had never read it in the first place. It should just be struck permanently.

What you applied in Basic Mission 8 certainly is essential, but remember that you are trying to solve Basic Mission 9!
Try everything under the sun that you can think of. Try things just to see what happens.

for those of us that solved 8 and can't understand why 9 isn't working..It helped me to draw out the directories I was moving through. Once I did that it was painfully obvious what I was doing wrong. I hope this helps someone :D

Forum makes this a heap easier. Clues about a certain file being at the end, and the answer being blatantly obvious

Made out to be a lot more difficult than it really is which made me spend a lot of time on it hahaha
