Re: I REALLY need to snag php scripts

I didn't think of that. Thanks for making me feel stupid. Anyhow, his hosting might not have client support, some of those free web hosting services don't. Ooops, my pleasure I really didn't mean to. Anyway, you're being waaaaaaay to nice to the guy. Of course I can't say for sure if his service ha...

Re: Intro to functional programming

Re: Backtrace Security Leak

Their website doesn't look very professional to me and their twitter even less but then again it was created just a few days ago so they may still change it later, if they really want to go business. The idea behind that isn't really that bad, people nowadays are very concerned about their privacy o...

Re: Intro to functional programming

I don't get what (x:xs) means though... the list with the starting element "x" and the rest of the list labelled "xs" ? Yeah, the technical term is called pattern matching but you guessed spot on about what it's doing. Well it was the only thing that made sense to me in the code...

Re: Application 1

On notepad++ i need to set any language ?? because i just see "‹EôÆ€‚" Notepad++ takes every byte of the executable file and shows the ASCII character associated with that byte, that's how strings are actually made , they are just a bunch of numbers. The "EôÆ€" characters are pr...

Re: Structure of posts table in blog db

Good question! Let's keep the "Category" table but forget about adding a "Category" field in the "Post" table. Instead we create a new table let's call it X. You could use that table to pair Posts with Category or with other words the ID field of your Post table with th...

Re: Intro to functional programming

Great intro to functional programming. I agree it looks pretty cryptic at first sight, but it sure motivated me! I don't get what (x:xs) means though... the list with the starting element "x" and the rest of the list labelled "xs" ? It looks like recursive functions are easier to...

Re: Structure of posts table in blog db

You could create another table named "Category" which pairs numbers with the different categories. That would look something like this: ------------------------------------------------------------ CategoryID | CategoryName ----------------------------------------------------------- 1 | Pro...
