Alternative to newbie challenge

We already have the concept of "protected forums". This mostly happens without you noticing. Debate, religion, and one other one that I can't remember are restricted (read only or limited use) for your first 2 days and first 2 posts. Furthermore if you get any warnings the restrictions app...

Re: Welcome noobs

<Cautious question> I'm new here, but I wanted to know what the policy on thread bumping is here. (Oops...bumping one now...) Is it frowned upon to post to a thread unless it is very new (assuming of course you have something of value to add) ? For example, if I see a thread from say, a month...

Re: how realistic are the realistic missions?

Most of the current missions were very realistic some years ago (think 1990s).
We are working on more modern missions.

I will point out that if you have the /will/ to learn the skills to complete these missions then you are probably hacker materiel.

HACKTHISSITE IS AWESOME, was converted to SZXPGSTHHRGV?RH?ZCVHLNV by reversing the alphabet, using A=z, B=Y, etc. From here a similar form of reversing was used, with the exception that THIS time it was numeri...
