Re: help

You could also wait a while (by not moving the mouse) at the logon screen, and soon a command prompt called logon.scr will pop up. Then just type in it 'net user your_user new_password' and your password should be changed. For "your_user" put your user name and for "new_password"...

Re: Question about the Rules

Best way to advertise your website here is to stick it in your sig and contribute across the board. Posting "Hey, check out my website" threads may end up getting you a warn and thread removal if the site is not at all relevant, and you can generally put all the information regarding your ...

Re: HTS has been taken over by demons or something?

Ubuntu is the tip of the sword for linux outreach. People would do better to criticize it less and help newbies to embrace it more.

Re: Get rid of the Private Messages link

Just because you liked the old messaging system just fine doesn't mean it didn't completely suck. The forum PM system has things like basic message folders, message tracking, limits, and other things you would find in a well written messaging system. Anyway, the old system is still easily usable.

Re: hello, looking for hackers with exp. to answer a question

Any noob can tell you that what you need is a proxy service. Either purchase a paid-for proxy from a company that does it, use one of the many open proxies out there, pay for remote VPN services, get an SSH account somewhere and tunnel your communications through that, or use Tor. How to do all this...

Re: PMing without asking permission

On IRC sure, but on the forums there are so many threads and posts that it's hard to interact with any user, let alone staf...

Re: Hall of Fame Consistency

Pretty sure a CSRF/SQL vulnerability which allows you to add yourself as an Administrator has got to be worth more than an XSS that can only really allow you to view your own injection (non-persistent) I disagree. CSRF vulnerabilities aren't difficult to find in a site that doesn't have any sort of...
