Re: how do i learn to hack

I've worked in IT for 8 years and asked myself the same question a few months ago. Felt a bit stupid. Ask yourself what you want to hack first, think of the legalities behind it, how you can protect yourself and then use the wee exercises on this site to get started. It's really helpful. https://www...

Re: what do you think?

Historically based on general rumblings, I'd say Russia were always feared when I was gaming online years ago. Not sure what it's like now.

Re: How to stay Anonymous??

Put on a white mask. Seems to help out. In fairness it's probably the most important step that folk often trip up on. If I shout, who will hear me? will they recognise me? Depending on what you shout, will folk come after you and will they find you? How can they find you? These are questions i'd be ...

Re: I want to learn programming HELP!

Learning a language from scratch is hard because anything past Hello World is simply impossible if you don't have knowledge of what that language can do for you. Everyone wants to learn code but most of the time they root about tutorials and videos looking for things to write. One thing I find frust...

Re: Am I too hard on myself or am I right?

It's hard. But nothing worth doing came easy. Stick with it and break it down. Dissect, extract what is important and learn it. Write everything down 7 or more times and your brain will have no choice to but to burn that shit to memory. Give yourself real world goals. Remember in Kickboxer when he w...

Re: Anyone who thinks it's quick to learn is a fool.

The key indicator in the above quote is time. Determination too could well be a factor. I don't think I expected to be so lacking in info about this that's all. Being an IT person doesn't prepare you enough for security issues. It's actually quite alarming.

Anyone who thinks it's quick to learn is a fool.

I've been working in IT for 8 years now. I'm a monkey firefighting admin, so that means I'm torn between everything on a windows domain. One min I'm changing toner, and the next I'm troubleshooting file replication services lack of syncing between domain controllers. Experience I've built up over ti...

Re: Must have knowledge of Linux/Unix

Linux is next on my list. Ditched Windows for MacOS for the last two years. Windows 10 is pretty straightforward. I don't want to be that guy that says Linux is a dead OS because of compatibility issues just because I don't understand it. In today's market you can't afford to be single minded in Win...

Re: web server

I think you are meaning that if you're on a uni, school or business network and some kind of internet filter like BLOXX or Smoothwall is preventing you from accessing websites via policies? Sometimes you can access the net unauthenticated via a proxy site. Most of them are blocked, however, internet...
