Re: Pontifex

If you had said the south pole, I would've had to kick you out. Why else do you think the feds never believed my location when they tracked down my IP? ... That was a joke. But anyways, it will be hilarious to see what his "tweets" are about. I'm almost inclined to make a Twitter account j...

Re: Alternative BitTorrent Protocol

It sounds like you're giving a Tor-aspect to it. Might want to use onion routing as well.

Re: some of the timers on these missions seem insanely hard.

However, an easy way to circumvent that is to just copy+pasta the entire thing.

Re: New to this site

There will never be such a thing as a site that cannot be hacked. However, even if the employees yell at you for half an hour on how every "computer guy" that comes in here says about it, you have to tell them to use long, long passwords that are either huge combinations of letters or just...

Re: Prank help?

I have to say, since this seems to be within a time limit before this is worth less than the expense, I'd say just download one and then modify it enough so that the antivirus doesn't recognize it (unless that trick doesn't work anymore). Which RAT? Preferably one that doesn't backdoor your own comp...

Re: Prank help?

Or, SE him and give him a RAT on his computer (let him download it), however, the antivirus would probably screw that plan over.

Re: Probably an annoying question

Sadly, we can't do anything about that computer vulnerability-wise because of the ToS: HackThisSite does not condone illegal activities, which was introduced to prevent its own downfall. But I'll say that a program won't get you through the entire process of "hacking", really. It could, bu...

Re: Jeremy faces life in prison

I believe that originated with Kevin Mitnick, although you must be talking about someone different. Weird, I thought they would learn that there are no detonation codes for the world's nuclear bombs after Mitnick's case. That reminds me. In Kevin's case, the judge wouldn't let his side use a compute...

Re: Need Begining Advices

The point of hacking is to be able to find vulnerabilities within software, but most vulnerabilities can be found on security websites, accurately described, so using Google is a good start.
And the missions were designed to give you knowledge about various vulnerabilities.
