Re: App 17!

Yea, case sensitivity is pretty big from what I've seen so far.

Nice though, good catch.

Re: Code Reviews for Programming Challenges

I guess for now we'll just have to keep asking for a pm if we want to discuss an answer with someone, although it really doesn't stop anyone from just googling spoilers I suppose. I agree though, code reviews are great

Code Reviews for Programming Challenges

Is there a section where we can do code reviews for programming challenges? I've been working on them in C/C++ but I'm not sure if it's allowed, since obviously they're technically spoilers. I think it would be great to be able to discuss the thought process and bounce ideas around, especially about...

Re: Where do I start?

If you don't already know C and assembly, I would start there. Hacking is about thinking outside the box and circumventing your limits, but if you don't know where those limits are then what can you do, you know? Learn C the Hard Way is a great book for that because it teaches you not only how to pr...

You'll know you've reached a good level once you've learned to appreciate C++ object-oriented features and can then go back to C and implement them the way it used to be d...

Re: Can you Brute-Force MailACCs with python using only smtplib?

I don't have a definitive answer for you, but from a software-engineering perspective I'm going to say probably not. I say probably because as a dynamically-typed interpreted language, python is going to be much slower at most things as opposed to C or C++. Even worse, the bottleneck in most systems...
