Re: Computer Science Degree, Worth It?

I notice a lot of people thinking about college are concerned with how much money they are going to make. In my opinion fuck money, just do what you love. Even if you make tons of money, is it worth getting up everyday and working at a job you hate and regreting not having pursued your dreams? With...

Re: Programming 8

Is this mission working?

I can't seem to get moo to recognize !perm8 at all when coming from myself or my bot in #perm8. If someone doesn't mind verifying that this is working, I'd apprecaite it. No matter what I do moo doesn't respond in this channel.

Re: Think Very Carefully About What the SQL Commands are Doing

I've learned a lot since my last post on this.

I think some people are misunderstanding some of the syntax used to complete this mission. Don't get locked into the idea that there is only one way :) . I think I've actually found four or five ways to get the emails.

Re: LFS

If you are interested in reading about the Kernel, I would recommend "Linux Kernel in a Nutshell" and "Understanding the Linux Kernel". They're both O'Reilly books written by kernel devs. That's the one. Understanding the Linux Kernel. I read some of the book, and it's fantastic...

Re: Is your son a computer hacker!

The part about limiting your child's computer use to "forty five minutes a day" was what happened to me. It was impossible to get anything done, so I just became nocturnal and staying up all night.

Re: LFS

This is true. However, at the time I really wanted to know how Linux works more. I found that I was better off getting a book about linux kernel development. Probably I will go back to trying LFS again, but not right now.
