Re: USB Boot not working on ASUS VivoBook?

Just some quotes from Linus about how he feels: I’m certainly not a huge UEFI fan, but at the same time I see why you might want to have signed bootup etc. And if it’s only $99 to get a key for Fedora, I don’t see what the huge deal is. Yes, yes, the sky is falling, and I should be running around li...

Re: USB Boot not working on ASUS VivoBook?

Well, if you're not on a tablet, it should be *possible* to override it, but I've never done it. You aren't alone though: http://vinayarts.blogspot.com/2013/05/dual-boot-windows-8-and-linux-distros.html http://apcmag.com/how-to-dual-boot-windows-8-and-linux.htm Good luck.

Re: Community project thingy

Cool. I remembered that I can also program ActionScript (Flash) for playing videos. Someone should start an irc channel for this, so we can all talk without near endless back and forth on the forums. We could also commandeer #coffeesh0p, as I idle there whenever I'm online, as does Ninjex. This is t...

Cryptlog - A python keylogger

Hello all! I recently made a simple (Well, not very simple, but I digress) windows only ( :( ) keylogger in python and PHP. Here's the basics of how it works: 1.) captures keys in chunks of 25 keystrokes. 2.) Encrypts the keystrokes with a simple XOR encryption (not very good encryption mind you.) 3...

Re: Feeling bad for n00bs on Basic test 1

I came to HTS with no experience in hacking, and yet after looking at the thread about basic one asking how to view the source, got it instantly. If I didn't know HTML, I wouldn't have been able to do that. Not learning HTML is just stupid.

Re: I want to start a new social network

I often have crazy awesome ideas, but then after thinking about them for 15 or so seconds, I'm like, "no market for this, damnit." I recently did have some ideas for social networks though, they're probably shit, but if you want to know, just ask. But yeah, your best bet is to make it appe...

Re: Fav language?

I'd go for python if it doesn't *have* to be crazy efficient. Yes, C++ would be faster, but it wouldn't be a huge difference. That said, I did make a prime number generator in C++ once, so I could reuse that, but I'd rather port it to python.
