Re: Forensic Mission 1

One of the best forensic tools is TestDisk. I used it to complete this mission, (I also used Scalpel to complete it, but the results were less stable than TestDisk) I would advise you to try it, as it's a very great recover tool. If it doesn't work for you, try installing it again, check the sums t...

Re: Forensic Mission 1

I've been trying a couple of tools under both unix-like and windows OSes but none have worked for me so far. In the end, it turns out the folders are empty.

Re: Cicada 3301

The material involved is indeed way above public society's standards. Perplexity has always played the prominent role of washing out the average user from the best ones in the field. After part four I gave up as well and disbanded all groups I was leading.

Re: Cicada 3301

Bad thing about Cicada is that once somebody finds a poster, he removes it so that others can't advance. This is why we need to have the most of members.

Cicada 3301

Greetings, Generally, I posted this thread to seek people interested in taking part in the Cicada 3301 event. Nothing is certain but it's considered to be an underground that comes up with a puzzle every year. First images have so far only been posted on reddit and 4chan. The challenges vary from cr...

Re: Steganographic Encoder/Decoder

Now to stay on topic, I've had an intention of writing something quite similar but far more expanded as a notion and advanced. It was gonna include things such as multiple layers of concealment, kleptography, cryptovirology, LSB steganography, obfuscation through esoteric languages, polymorphism and...

You do know that stenography is something quite different from steganography? Some might fall for that and actually investigate stenography instead of steganography in this very case.

Re: Malbolge/Cryptography Challenge

Thanks for the clarification @Goatboy. At least one understood what I was trying to explain beforehand; let's hope you made it clearer for those who still haven't perceived the idea. As for the 3DES - OK, just use whatever bit size you desire. I'll also give a little hint for the Malbolge program. I...

Re: Malbolge/Cryptography Challenge

Ok, I will spoil the challenge due to your incompetence and whoever wants to solve it shouldn't read below. The character set is simply the characters used for the plaintext processing (in this case hashing); all the characters that the plaintext consists of. The character set in this case is NOT: !...
