Re: Change what browser a webpage thinks you're using?

Where have you been all my life?

I have been waiting :o

I thought of a less cumbersome way too, this is quicker/pointless straight from my terminal;

Code: Select all
echo -e "GET / HTTP/1.0\nUser-Agent: dog\n" | nc www.hackthissite.org 80 > ~/Desktop/test.html

Re: Change what browser a webpage thinks you're using?

Also there are many ways to do this, i remember having to complete a mission quickly here so i used the libcurl library in c++ - the user agent can be what you wish. Re: how to get the hacking tools?

Re: how to get the hacking tools?

I agree, and also after checking where it's from and looking at who made it, if you're still uncertain it's good to place it on another machine and watch for network activity with various tools such as tcpdump. To see how it affects the file system, there are tools on top of basic things like checki...

Re: Change what browser a webpage thinks you're using?

Just checked with chromium, it's ctrl+shift+i, then the gear at the bottom right [settings] and then 'over ride user agent' there you can pick which one.
