Re: script kiddies

IMO using a firefox addon to do missions is a little skiddish if you don't understand the concepts behind what your doing.

Re: Possible malicious link on HTS.

Sorry for getting a little paranoid. I was on my work computer and 'em messages on my AV was awful scary to my noob sensibilities. ;)

Didn't mean to be a pest. I'll tone it down from here on out.

Re: Possible malicious link on HTS.

I'm using avast and it looks clean to me. If you click the link in my message it doesn't do it. Try it from the forum index page maybe.-- Thu Jan 13, 2011 4:57 pm --I guess you can all disregard my postings, as my AV no longer trips when I use the link. IDK WTF happened but I swear on BOTH my testi...

Possible malicious link on HTS.

Sorry to make another thread on this but... I think I found the link that was causing my AV to detect a PHP backdoor. Every time I click this link, http://www.hackthissite.org/forums/faq.php , My AV(M.S.E.) reports that Backdoor.php:c99.g has been detected and removed from my computer. I don't know ...

Thank you.

The bad link is the link to the forum FAQ. faq.php

I tried it three time. Every time the same threat was detected and removed.

Re: Introduce Yourself  Topic is solved

I'm a 24 year old that is interested in computer security. I work as a production manager and a 'OSHA compliance' safety coordinator in a factory.I can write some pretty cool vbscript and JavaScript, but my programming knowledge is limited. I'm trying to learn though. I'm halfway through an 'intro t...

Re: Backdoor:php/c99shell.g Did i get it here?

A couple days ago I was installing various password recovery tools for one of the missions with a MD4 hash. I tried a few before settling on C&A. Maybe I allowed it to install without knowing. It may have been in one of the 'corrupt download/installs I had, and the AV just happened to catch it w...

Re: Backdoor:php/c99shell.g Did i get it here?

I didn't think HTS was responsible ( I trust y'all ;0). I can remember the exact link but I think it was to supposed to send me to a page on this site. I wish I could remember. I think it may have been in the thread about forum registration issues (the one where there were complaints about no user n...
