Re: Apology not forthcoming?

I love the fact that you're still around. We're a hacking forum, why would we be impressed with someone who has the knowledge of double-clicking on a pre-made exe. Please, by all means, get into one of our accounts, and we'll be impressed. But Goddamn, don't you have other, better, funner things to ...

Re: The Value of IP Adresses

Re: The Value of IP Adresses

Do you honestly think we would be impressed with somebody getting around an IP ban? What's sad is that you felt the need to.

Re: Prestige of a school and your job

It depends on the employer's criteria. A degree from Harvard or an Ivy-League will always look more impressive though.

Re: Hey. Quick question...

I had to remove your links. From your post, they can easily be deduced, but since HTS has had legal trouble in the past, we don't allow direct linking to sites with the intention of illegal activity. But, I do agree with you. The 'Net would be better off if these scammer sites just went away. Even i...

Re: Baidu spider

If what Goatboy says is correct, it's probably an overglorified script that tries to find servers running vulnerable software using a search engine. Similar to all the "Google hacking" stuff that comes up every once in awhile.

Re: Internet Kill-Switch

He's saying that giving the American government, one that hasn't been truthful with its people, the power to cut off their communications with the rest of the world, is not a good thing.

Re: has anyone found out if you can hack an ebook?

If you're talking about ebook readers, search Google for "how to root [insert ebook-reader here]". Removing DRM from individual ebooks is another matter. Still for these sorts of "How Do I" questions, google is your best friend.

Re: Educate the N00b

Regardless, its a good motto. Exploiting purely code is more ethical in a sense, generally more difficult, and tends to be lots more elegant as well. That being said, most major hacks include some form of social engineering or another, but for purely intellectual purposes, I think exploiting compute...
