Re: New Years Resolutions

I'll work hard to excel in my O levels this year so hopefully I can get a scholarship and attain freedom away from parents.

Re: How did you become/how are you becoming a hacker?

Goodbye, Thetan. Your informative posts were really a lot like guides written, and I've started experimenting and learning about layer 7 DOS attacks from the information you've provided.

Graphics Driver help

I've recently had problems with games installed on my computer and I suspect my graphics driver is faulty. For a few times when I play my games, everything is fine, but suddenly when I run it the graphics turn all black and white, with black of varying depth and pitch. Even with graphic options set ...

Re: password

The processing of data is kept server side to prevent the client from manipulating the data. If it was all client side, hacking would be a lot easier.

Re: Check This Out!! Major Halo 3 glitch!!!!

A cookie stealer would be a lot more effective and cause more damage. I actually tried the XSS last year on the forums, to find it completely sealed up. If I remember correctly, however, in one of the XSS articles on HTS someone was able to get Javascript in, maybe through the comments.

Re: Hackthissite attacked

That's what happens when too much memory gets allocated for just one connection I guess. Seems like a pretty heavy vulnerability - many sites still run on Apache, and yet there's still no fix to this. Maybe Apache could just implement some of the protocols that nginx uses to overcome this?

Re: This is pull, one of the old-school devs.

I have around $10 in a Google Adsense account I was experimenting with and if you need it, just contact me and I'll hand you over the account. Since you're in the US, it should be easier to receive the money there.

Re: DOS trace

So, for a layer 7 DOS attack I would only need to loop these pieces of Perl code 1000 times: require HTTP::Request; for($counter = 1; $counter <= 1000; $counter++) { $request = HTTP::Request->new(GET => 'http://www.victim.com/'); } Or do a HTTP Post request. Will...
