Re: Learning PHP

Okay, first of all you have to understand what an interpreter is. There are two types of languages--compiled languages and interpreted languages. Compiled languages are what programs like Word and PowerPoint are written in. They are "compiled" into an executable file (.exe) so that they ca...

Re: My Rant

Cain and Abel is as free as software comes. I don't know what you're talking about when you say that "you have to pay for it and it is not cheap."
Also, your spelling is better than most english speakers. Be proud.

Re: Good hacking websites and sources.

hmmm...a list of resources...something like what's mentioned here ? When a mod reads this, I think we should have some sort of IRC session where we compile a list, and then put into an actual site page instead of a forum post. I'm not sure exactly how this would work, but it would make it more "...

Re: Hacker Must

All of these . Also, I used USB last century. Use eSATA, it's the new thing. On a more serious note, there's no "essential hacker programs" that exist. I honestly don't know when I'd use them even if I did carry any around with me, especially since I hardly ever use other peoples' computer...

Re: Idea for the Reduction of "I'm New" Posts

I like the idea of a lurking period, combined with an external resource page. The problem with this idea is maintenance. Too many times have I seen (especially when looking for assembly tutorials :/) a page of links where half of them are broken, or lead to half-finished tutorials that haven't been ...

Re: Censorship

An example of this would be pornography at school. It's distracting and infringes on other's rights to feel comfortable. So where do we draw the line? Does your eating lunch violate my right to eat whatever I want? After, if I want to eat your lunch, I should be able to eat it. Also, schools censor...

Re: Tutorials

Anyone could write an article that is a tutorial about basic web and networking stuff, as well as security. I'm not sure if it would actually get approved, because it is generally accepted that users come to this site with some foreknowledge of how websites, networking, and programming work, but if ...

Re: Calling all expert hackers

lulz. I don't know about anyone else, but I have to turn up my screen brightness a lot to even read that. And just so you know, there's maybe two people in the entire user base who would ever seriously consider answering your request, and they are most likely a couple of egotistical script kiddies. ...
