the last time i was forced to use a windows machine, it was vista, however i downloaded the metasploit framework with which is bundled ZENMAP... not sure if you can get zenmap standalone. But its a cute little gui for nmap that worked just fine.

Any idea whether it's possible to use Wireshark (or something similar) from terminal? (Preferably on linux as well, I'm running Xandros). you can use snoop or tcpdump from a linux terminal, they both support filtering for traffic types or address, but in my experience its a pain in the ass. just playing with the first couple app missions so far, they seem to work under wine without any problems. It would suck to have to VMware windows for such small programs. Hopefully the apps continue to work under wine through the higher levels.
