Re: C#: Passing obects?

Bhaal, neither you nor I know exactly what function this plays in his program. I was merely giving him another option--knowing all your options is always a good thing. Calm down, no one is criticizing you, you don't need to criticize me. I did forget to write the Cast method, although I think it's p...

Re: C#: Passing obects?

You could also use anonymous types if you don't want to create a seperate data holder class. Class1 { public static void Main(string args[]) { var x = Cast(Class2.DoSomething(), new { SomeString= "", SomeInt =0 }); } } Class2 { public static void object DoSomething() { return n...

Re: Who Wants To Learn How To Program?

To each their own, but I would never suggest someone learn something like VB as their first programming language "so it's simple". Programming is really not a hard thing at its core, so languages that are 'easy' are really not benefiting(?) you much at all. I'd say go with something like C...

Re: Who Wants To Learn How To Program?

I would really recommend Head First C# to anyone trying to learn C#.

I would recommend the whole Head First series, they are the best programming books I have ever read.

Other books in the series include: Java, Javascript, Design Patterns, Ajax, SQL, HTML and Css

Great post, by the way! :D

Re: Wages

I make $24 a hour as an intern . So yeah i'd say there is definetly money to be made if I can make $24/hour doing nothing with about a years worth of computer science courses in college. I know a contractor who makes about $65/hour, he does whatever they assign him in a few hours and then listens to...

Re: Programming 2 help

Java has a great library for interacting with websites called HTTPClient. It deals with sessions automatically, as well as greatly simplifies interacting with websites, so I encourage you to check it out. http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/index.html Terminus has an in-depth post about it here: htt...

Re: stego 2

Man I feel like i've tried just about everything--I even flipped and reversed the right audio out and transposed it over the left in an attempt to cancel the two out and create a message of some sort. Am I thinking about it too hard? This has had me stumped for over a month X_X Edit: As a side note,...

Re: Americans - who are you voting for?

Sonic, McCain is referencing the fact that we till have a few troops stationed in Germany, Japan, Vietnam, and other countries we've been to war with previously. We always leave a few troops stationed in the countries we've been at war with. He doesn't want to lie that's why he says things like, &qu...

Re: Americans - who are you voting for?

I am not phased by your hyperbole, Iraq is something we are already in--I think it's best that we leave it in a sustainable state. What McCain is going to do is ask his generals how long they think they should stay in Iraq, which is a smart idea. You know, actually asking the only people who know wh...
