HackThisSite.org News: Moderation Positions Available

HTS is currently seeking an additional one to three moderators to assist in maintaining the HTS main site and forums.

If you’re interested in becoming a moderator, please email me at sonic7145@gmail.com with your resume. There will also be an IRC interview. To be seriously considered, you will need:

-Moderation experience

This is essential. References to other websites where you've held a moderation role are definite pluses. Moderators have powers over a large user base, and it is essential to know not only you know how to use these tools, but that they will not be abused.

-Knowledge and familiarity with HTS

Moderators are not expected to be as skilled in code and general computer-related topics as developers, but proficiency is required. This is especially important when moderating articles and the forums. This will also be tested during the IRC interview.

-Good character

As a moderator, you will have to abide by a set of rules that you might not always agree with. You will have to deal with rude and inpatient users. Because of this, having good character is essential.
