HackThisSite.org (LIVE site, as in the one you are currently looking at) is accepting open applications for PHP Developers and Moderators. The rules to apply are as follows:
Developers
Submit a portfolio compiled of various PHP projects you have coded, with proof of experience and familiarity of PHP OOP. Portfolios must include a wide variety of projects or code snippets, showing various ranges of expertise (Sanitization, MySQL Wrappers, Front-End Interfaces, Back-End Modules/Engines, Modularization, OOP, etc.). Developer applicants will also be asked to develop some PHP code during their interview within a certain time limit to prove expertise in this field.
Update: Developers must also show an expertise in protecting against XSS and CSRF, as well as other common exploits and code flaws. This will also be part of the interview process.
Moderators
Submit a portfolio of areas where moderation has been a requirement, such as forums, IRC Oper, or other large websites with content moderation. The portfolio must also contain a brief paragraph detailing abilities to moderate technical content and why you deserve the position. Moderator applicants will also be presented a few scenarios (including Article scenarios and whether they are decent or not) during their interview and will be asked to detail how they would handle them.
Update: Current developers and moderators WILL be re-interviewed at scheduled times to show existing knowledge and skill with the aforementioned requirements. Those who do not meet these requirements will be asked to resign their position. Details on interview times will be given to the current developers and moderators.
Applications can ONLY be submitted to admin AT hackthissite DOT org (Please also state in the subject what you are applying for, ie. "HTS Developer Application")
Perhaps a better requirement would be to prove that they actually know what they're talking about?
Look at all the CSRF vulnerabilities... I can't remember how long ago it was that I pointed this out:

Look at all the shit articles. Current mods are accepting shit.
One of the biggest parts of the interview process with Moderator applicants will be article scenarios, where we'll pull some good and bad articles and have the applicant review it, then approve/deny it and state why.
Making requirements for a moderator is difficult other than the fact that they must exhibit good judgment.

I think that presenting the moderators with Article scenarios is a good idea.
I prevent shit articles from coming in. I'm not going to waste my time searching through current articles to remove shit that someone else accepted. It shouldn't be there in the first place.
The staff chan wasn't dead. Comperr and Faith were active. In fact, we had quite a long argument about how important it is for them to fix said holes. Time went by, nothing was fixed.
I guess I wasted my time.

eh, oohal has legitimate gripes. If you want a dev to 100% see something, it should go on the bug tracker. Though why the issue wasn't fixed when Kane contacted in REAL-TIME some site developers is beyond me. I disagree though with Kane's statement that he shouldn't have to go through previous articles. HTS is moderated in a peer-reviewed fashion. The only way shit articles are going to be caught is if staff are accountable to other staff's standards
@KSEBoom, it appears as though you're unaware that oohal is a site developer.
Removed all bullshit drama comments as they are fully irrelevant to the nature of this news post.
@Kane, we know we need competent devs and mods, we're working on it. No need to become a prick about existing bugs. The Bug Report module exists for a reason.
