ME (Mistake Edition) was terrible for me. Memory management was terrible on it (it used way too much memory). Frequent crashing when installing and driver support was terrible. ME was an OS that should have never been released, they should have skipped to 2000 because 98 was running fine for everyone.

I so agree. ME was awful.

Strangely, ME was one of the best for me :) Far better (IMO) then Win98SE, although that could be because ME booted from the installation with 16bit color, whereas I could never get win98 out of 16color mode. Which kinda sucked.

Windows 98 was actually pretty bad... The GUI used way too much memory. You couldn't even look at the wallpaper without the hard drives grinding.

Yes, you can. Here's how:
1.) Open up the "Computer" folder
2) Go up to "Uninstall or changee a program".
3) Select "Turn Windows Features on or off" in the green bar on the side.
4) You might have to wait for a bit while it loads.
5) Once it loads, go down to the "Telnet" folder in the box.
6) Select "Telnet Client".
7) Exit out of the program.
8) Let it configure your features.
Finally, you should be able to telnet! Open up the command prompt, and then....

C:\ telnet
Welcome to the Microsoft Telnet Client.
Escape Character is ']'
Microsoft Telnet>
