Add Resources section and FAQs

If you really want to teach people then I think the best thing to do is offer learning resources (pdfs and whatnot) and FAQs.
You could even just have tips that pop up when a user continually fails a mission.

what do you think?

I like.

We would need willing people who know the subjects well to cover these topics that have the time to do this as well, whether it be admins/mods/ or content agreed as good by an admin/mod from users. However, there are tons of pdfs all over the Internet.
If you're not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you're determined to learn, no one can stop you.⠠⠵
The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.

True dat.
need a system to decide who writes the info on what.
chances are mods and administrators first then whatever information is still missing HTS members can submit.

there's also tons of info about hacking allover the internet but people still come to HTS for a lot of reasons.
the info is consolidated
you can practice your skills in semi-realistic situations
there's a community to help you learn.
so adding resources and FAQs would only add to the list of reasons someone would come here rather than google "hacking"

also there's nothing wrong with adding pdfs that already exist if HTS approves them.

Maybe an FTP server is the best way to go?
need to get a mod or admin in on the thread...

Great idea. Added in right now as a sticky until we can get an admin in here to make it it's own subforum. Feel free to start posting. 8-)

As far as hosting the downloads here. There are issues with that depending on the material. Those details will need to be worked out before we could implement that.

lol yeah that could get out of hand too lol.
A community of hackers uploading files to a server ...
LOL

Well.
I have the book of ruby and a pdf on lua on hand so lemme know when details are sorted out.
Also i'm working on an extensive book on VBA.
that might be a little out of the range of hacking though.

Hell, if I could, I'd set up an FTP up to my old laptop and everyone would have reading/learning material for a few months.

Of course I could. I just don't have the necessary requirements right now. I might have to just get a file sharing server somewhere and upload all of them there.
