The ability to unsubscribe from threads

([msg=72755]see The ability to unsubscribe from threads[/msg])

In my time here, I've yet to see any way to get a thread to not show up on new posts in the, "View your posts", section of the site. Although one might exist, for the life of me I couldn't find it. As such, I'm proposing a small feature that I imagine would be a fairly to implement and I'm sure everyone would be able to benefit from it:

A small button that reads something along the lines of, "unsubscribe", or "Do not disturb" that would remove me from alerts on new posts on the thread. The reason for this being, it's quite irritating to be alerted on every new post of a thread I don't care about (Such as "Mission Basic 10", or "Introduce Yourself" (I never posted on either, threads got merged (damn you Mods)).

Very much so... Very much so.
Anyway, not sure here. But check the footer of the page. Right above the design signature there is a subscribe/unsubscribe button. I'm not sure if that'll solve your problem. But if you haven't already done so, give that a try.

Not exactly what I'm looking for, as that appears to be only for threads that I've started. With other threads that I've only posted in, it seems that I'm not/have never been subscribed to the topic.

Also, yes, a new forum is a must. How's HTS 2.0 coming?

It's HTS 5.0 and it's not being developed right now as updating the current 3.0 is the priority.

As for unsubscribing, I have no idea.

Wait... We haven't updated to 4.0 yet, and things for 5.0 are being discussed? That sounds counter-intuitive.

Well, this is in "Suggestions" section, maybe HTS 4.0, or 5.0, can include it.

Well uc... HTS 4 was a dump, so they scrapped it and went straight to v5. RIght now we're running v3, and back when bren2010 was a dev he was updating v3 while coding v5. Now, we're pretty cut dry on developers. So most of the work is being done by Kage and weekend, who don't exactly have enough time to fully commit themselves to deving a site.
