I have looked around, and i have found a few open source projects that can fit under the remote control tools category. If you are looking for a challenge, i can refind the links so you can try to get involved.

But, and dont misunderstand me, i like to think the highest of you.
If you have just heart that c/c++ is the stuff to write evil codez in, and want to do this project all by your selfe. You should atleast define what your are doing, like not_essence2 suggest.
I assume that you already got some programming experience, if not; i think this is absurd. And that you should start out by making a simpler program.

But really, you dont give mutch info. So i'll just share a resource that i found helpfull, when i first startet to play around with c++ socket programming;

This should help you create some client/server programs :) Sorry if you are way ahead of this.
