OSWP Wireless Penetration Certificate

So a few of us got to talking a couple months back about certifications and some online training. I'm very seriously thinking about signing up for this course. One because its fairly cheap. Also to see if I like how they run their courses; and finally, I have a passion for wireless work. Anyway, I think it would be pretty bad ass if a couple of us signed up and got started at the same time. This way we could start up and discuss the training and material covered here for all to benefit and for people to comment on methods and suggestions for doing things differently/better.

So here is what I'm looking at:
http://www.offensive-security.com/infor ... fessional/

This isn't some advertisement. I'm a Mod after all. I'd get fired for that lol. Anyway, if anyone else is interested let me know and we can coordinate starting up at the same time.

Also, if you just happen to know if it sucks I would really like to know before I drop some cash!

Maybe you could post it as an announcement when you're done with the course, if you take it in the first place?
Anyways, it seems legitimate. Of course, many things seem legitimate.

I'm about 95% sure that I will be taking it. But even if I am the only one that signs up I will still open up some of it for discussion.

Weird. I thought there would be more than one pentesting certificate out there by now.

There is, I've come across several. There are more offered through Offensive Security too that look really really cool.
The one mentioned here I picked for a couple of reasons. It's the cheapest offered so it will give me a good idea of how they run their courses. I consider myself fairly good at wireless pentesting already, plus I've seen the course material for V2 and it's something I know I won't have much trouble with. Lastly, why not. If I enjoy it and it adds a wee little mark on the resume its a win win in my book.

A win-win situation is a hard one to come across.

First, does it expose the name you signed up with to others? I need the certificate to be addressed to my name, but you guys have no need to know my name.

Second, if you are planning to start as a group, what date are you expecting to start by?

Considering this is an entirely self paced online course I would not see in anyway this being a problem. I don't want to expose my real name on here either! There is an IRC client to join if you have questions but from what I have read its optional and only if you need it.

As far as a date, I'm flexible. Like I said before I think it would be cool if a couple of us members here jumped into it about the same time so we can discuss it. But officially there aren't group/class signups, not for this course anyway. I would like to start fairly soon though. I'm pretty stoked about this.

Let me look into it a bit and this would definitely be something that i could do...
