Hi all. I am a 13 year old with high hopes for learning hacking with this website. I have tried many other programs but none have had user interaction, and i am NOT interested in being lectured. I have only very basic cmd batch knowledge and would appreciate some stating tips. Thanks in advance!

Well.. i dont want to ruin for you now skythir_edge.. But you dont learn how to hack on hackthissite..
what you will do here is to learn the basic understanding about security/cracking/exploit etc etc..

if you really want to hack or well atleast learn the basic of hacking i would recommend you to start reading about C/C++, java etc etc.. (in that way you get more experience)
and aslo training and have understanding in what you do.. that is what will take you to the greatness of being a hacker =)

Ofc there is softwares you can use to "hack" a friends computer etc etc, but that aint the real deal of hacking.. that's just the lazy version of an white hat ^^

But then again.. hackthissite is a great community and i bet you will learn alot of stuff here on the forum, if you look around and read, and also i bet you will learn one thing or two in the missions

And skythir, my answer aint suppose to be mean, so i hope you dont take it like that..

But anyway..

If you want to learn hacking, the best method is to go ahead and dig in with programming. This site is designed to develop a hacker's mentality in the user if he/she is capable of it. On your journey of programming, you'll naturally come across many security vulnerabilities and learn to hack them.

Since the only thing you know right now is batch, I suggest you look into something called 'command injection'. More specifically, google for 'batch injection', 'batch command injection', and 'windows shell injection'. Play around with it, make a vulnerable batch script such as:
