Start by learning how to use technology/languages/concepts how it's really used and then learn how to use them with a "hacking" mentality. The missions here are good for putting both sides of that statement together. Don't focus so much on learning to hack as you should be on learning to use what you need in a given situation.

I got to looking through my pictures, and I think this one says it all. You have to learn to think outside the box and problem solve in a different way. Like logical said, you need to develop a hacking mentality. Check the forums for a while, there are great idea's and good conversations in there. There are also answers to your various questions there too, not saying you shouldn't say hi. It's just...your post...makes.. me wanna cry, but we can learn from this. I will post a picture describing what some of us see as older members.

I am going to post what I look at when I saw your post. I'm sure some people saw more or less depending on how much they care or are tuned into details. I hope you get the idea of what I said before; I did not make this to accost or troll you. Just a real life adaptation to a part of the mindset involved. It's like playing chess in my opinion.

It's a non stop learning process. When you do learn to mess around and do whatever, it just doesn't stop. Shit changes with time and people. Some people are better at things then the other. Yeah, some are born with it, but they are like good will hunting or a beautiful mind, the hacker version. That's life, deal with it. When you find out if it's for you is the first time you get so frustrated you could kill a whale with a toothpick. If you comeback after a break and still continue and try different things and study more, that's when the real mission begins. I think that's like basic 12.
