hello im just woundering what kind of computer language do i need to know to edit sites and to publish the site
ps:im not going to do anything illegal im just curious

To do this on your OWN site, you could learn anything from HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, blah, blahblabbity blah. To do this on someone else's site, that would require a lot more.

Be a little more specific, just don't say anything stupid.
A broken clock is right twice a day, however, I am neither up that early nor up that late...

Without performing an xss attack on a site, actually changing the code would require you to have admin level access to the host files. Depending on how the site it set and from where that could vary. The best way to learn about this sort of thing it is to set up your own site first. It will give you the hands on experience of how the whole process works.

It doesn't necessarily have to be xss.. You could use a number of exploits from executing arbitrary code to change page files or database entries, to stealing cookie sessions. But all of those would require a lot more than just basic knowledge.
