to truly understand where one must place the command, one must understand why your placing the command in the first place.jk This mission is going to trip you up because it needs you to do something you would not expect to do,and honestly if you are having a problem with 9 then go back to 8 and take more time to learn directory traversal ... you truly cannot understand 9 without fully understanding 8 (MESSAGE!)

One thing that helped me... think about where you are trying to go. Then think about the syntax of solution in mission 8.

i all ready now what is command for level 8 but i dont know how i can change the command for level 9 .if any help with that pleas help me??

you know the command to go down one directory from the last mission right? now think very litteraly about what i am about to say in basic 8 you solved the mission by going down one directory, now you need to go down 2 directories, back to the basics directory, then you need to go back up to /9 if you combine all those commands in that order it will work. but the commands you have already got are all you need

Perfect answer after reading that it was so clear that everyone should get. Took me 2 seconds to get the password after reading this, he practically hands you the code to get the password in a paper bag.

I've read all of these and I just am not understanding. Are we using Basic Mission 9 to find the password? How different if the command?

Yes, I agree this one is tricky. Just read the question properly.
