Html coding problem?

So, because I'm a noob and all, I started to study up on Html coding (Using the link that this site provided. Thank you.) But when I try to do the notepad step and turn my webpage code into what it's supposed to look like, a webpage, it shows up as the code. Is there something wrong with my brower/computer, or is it just me?

Post your code here so we can look at it. It's likely a closing error on your part.

Did you save the file as html extension or save it as txt? If you want to save a file with other extensions with notepad you must write the filename with quotes, or the file will be saved as .html.txt instead of .html

Sounds like you may either have an extra character in the HTML script or missing a closing bracket.

I looked at it, and I was able to figure out what was wrong. I want to thank everyone who posted though for helping me.
