I have a little experience with competitive gaming. I've never played LoL but I know a few basic tips that can help regardless of the game:

1. Try harder, not longer. i.e., >2 hour gaming sessions won't build skills better than 2 hour sessions
2. Read Sirlin's guide on Playing to Win
3. The older you get, the less "twitch" you have Youngsters have an advantage by default, good ones capitalize.

i have been playing since beta with about 3000 games played total 1600ish top elo

I play lol. Same name Solani64 is my lol account. reallyyyyyy HORRIBLE elo though. like 1100 solo que. I get reallyyyy bad team mates :/ also account only has like 180 wins cuz i spend more time on smurfs than on my main.
