Can I try to DDos this site?

Well, the name of the site is hack this site and I am new to this site and ddosing. I wanted to try to ddos this site without being arrested thank you.

No you can't DDos this site. Don't fuck it up for everyone else. Plus DDos isn't really considered hacking. Hence the name, Hack This Site.

I have a feeling that our friend here wouldn't cause any issues. Seeing as he wants to "try" it, I don't think he has enough people to DDos. Furthermore, if he had infected computers, he wouldn't need to try to DDos this site because his level would hopefully be beyond DDosing HTS.

Go ahead and try to DDoS it. Considering you have no botnet, so I don't see how you're going to be distributing a DoS. Along with that, there are a lot more people who try to DoS this site.

I've never really thought about attacking HTS, but... I'm assuming a strong IPTables setup, fail2ban and/or mod_security will drop a DDoS like a bad habit... not to mention this server seems to use http://www.sharktech.net/ for hosting which prides itself on DDoS protection:
