If you get one of the three "easymode" distros of linux (ubuntu[debian?], fedora, suse), then most things will be intuitive or work very similarly to windows/mac.
Getting used to the command line enviroment will take some time and playing around, but every single linux distrobution has massive community support, forums, wikis, and blogs that will provide you with information on almost anything you want to do. When it comes to running linux, the term "google it" is a way of life... you will find answers.
Best suggestion i can give is to just play with the system, get used to the differences, break it.. fix it.. break it.. fix it, etc. Just dive into the deep end..
