Hey everyone, my name is Scott and I am currently a "to be" sophmore in college majoring in information systems focusing on network security. I have a decent background in both computer and web programming but not too advanced. I joined this site in high hopes that I can learn a lot about security and hopefully make my college classes that much easier

I have high hopes to learn lots and apply it to my field of study and hopefully can get some help from the forums here as well

Welcome to HTS, srstrud!! Congratz on finding the correct place to intro yourself on your first post lol. The forums are open for anything you have to ask and if someone can't answer your question right away someone in the active community is bound to help you. Try out the missions and check out the articles as well. Don't forget, google is your friend. Always check something you find interesting or even question on google as a jumping off point.

I'm Flush (couldn't think of a good username because everything seemed to be taken, so I just started throwing random words at it. And I ended up with a toilet name. Nice. ) and I'm here to learn about security because recent events have made me a bit paranoid. I have only very little experience with programming, HTML, etc. but I'm not completely hopeless (at least I don't think so).
I hope to learn lots from you here, and hey, maybe by learning to hack I'll learn to think outside the box in other ways as well.

My name is Peter and I've been fiddling with programming since I was 15. Originally worked with the in-game scripting system for eAthena, an open source emulator, now I'm playing with C++, Java and Python. Just recently I realized I should do something with the knowledge I have so I joined hts and found a new calling. I really enjoy music, playing guitar, exploring the wilderness, drawing and photography. There's probably some things I've left out but that's me in a nutshell. Nice to meet you all!

Hello all!
I'm E.L., 25 years old. I work 1 job part-time for regular income. My second 'job' if you could call it that is to do freelance art for tattoo commissions when I'm not busy with other things. Eh, it all pays the bills in the end.

I've known HTML and CSS since I was 16, which started out as a way to have my own website to relieve stress when I was in high school. It's now defunct. I do help with the HTML of sites when friends ask to learn. I've always had an interest in hacking, thanks to a friend of mine, but never got around to actually getting into it until lately. I'm not particularly active, however, I'm told I have a TARDIS for a stomach, since I've been blacklisted from 5 all you can eat buffets.

Hopefully I'll be able to learn something here, even if it does take me a while.
