Perty much anyone with windows 7 is gonna be running a default firewall. Unless of course you're administrating a school or something. For Windows, most will use iptables to mess around with their shit.

Software firewalls R suck, and useless. Disable them, experience better performance. Rely on hardware. Even a shitbox Linksys or Netgear SoHo router comes with an array of solid firewall options that should be more than enough for any average user.

I'm using the firewall of my antivirus program, kaspersky. sure, it's not the best you can get, but its everything I need and the difference in performance is small. And it's still way better than the standard windows firewall
