I'm afraid of the people in other parts of the government saying: "That's nice you think that but we don't care"
But I don't know how the USA's government system is build up. Can they do that?

I'm referring to the planned protests on the 18th of January where a bunch of websites are planning to, in essence, go off line to bring attention to the situation.

In regards to the link it shouldnt be a big surprise. They have fought this hard to take it this far, they won't come down easily. Hopefully the blackout with make a clear enough statement. If only google would go down that would be just amazing. Many are quickly losing faith in power of the public voice here in the states. If this goes through, I highly expect aggressive responses physical and digital.
