I'm almost positive that something is not right. Could someone take a look at it. There is no calendar showing up for me.

to see the calendar all you need to do is enter a date and press 'view', no other command is necessary. At present if you enter a date you get the message:

'Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, admin@hackthissite.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.'

Just an update.

Basic Mission 7 is back on track and works.

I completed the mission, but there is an issue I wanted to discuss. So I don't give any spoilers, let's just say the password is in a file called password.php.

When I open the file in my browser, I get the correct password. But when I go to the command line, and do "wget same_url," I get a local copy of password.php, but it has the wrong password (it's still a short string with letters and numbers).

I'm sorry if I revealed spoilers, I would be happy to move this conversation to a pm, I just wasn't sure how to expose this concern of mine.

Good question and nice pick up. After trying this for myself on my linux box I had the same issue then something clicked. Went back onto my windows box signed out and typed in the same url while logged out and boom. It gave me the same incorrect string password. So I'm guessing because you're not logged in when you access the page it will not give the correct password.

I see, thanks for the explanation. Can you please explain why this happens though? Are there two websites for URL/password.php, and it uses the hackthissite authentication system to determine which website to display?

I guess new passwords are generated per user session or so. If this is the case, your cookies may (or may not) somehow reflect it. When you're logged out, the generated pass won't be tied to a valid record, so the input page will not accept it. However, this is my first guess only
