Newbie needs advice with forum

Hi, sorry to say guys i am a complete newb in this place.

I have a problem. I have been visiting a forum as a guest but i want to register but it will not let me from my ip. I have tried to go through proxy but the site will also not allow me to register. Is there a way i can view the members only side of the forum without having to log in. I have tried lots of suggestions from the net with things like perl but as a complete newb i am not having much luck or this site is too secure. Any suggestions?]

Thanks in advance.

My first question is, how are you posting right now if you're not registered? Are you posting from another location? Anyways, try looking into Tor. It masks your ip so maybe you would be able to register while surfing the internet while using it. I posted the link below. Also, what happens when you do try to register? Do you get an error message of any kind?

You're posting right now under the username "Roths". Which means that's what your registered under. If you weren't registered we wouldn't be having this conversation right now and you wouldn't be able to access the forums at all.

You are registered. Only forum members can post topics in the forum. However, there are parts of the site you won't be able to access. There's no need for Tor or anything, because you are already registered.

Agreed. When I originally mentioned that I figured the user was just at a different location posting to get some help.

Gotcha. Well, more info would help. What happens when you do try to register? Error message? Can't even get to the Registration Form? If it is not allowing you to register because of what you said and it is your ip then do give Tor a shot. Were you recently banned from the forums or something that would make you not able to register? If that's the case you will have to contact the forum mods and get the ball rolling with getting unbanned.

...... that would have been nice to know. Anyway, why don't you try contacting THEM? I feel they could probably help you out more than us. Maybe there's something wrong with the registration.

OP did say A FORUM not THIS FORUM, though it is a bit unclear.

OP are you saying that you have been banned from this other site? maybe your IP is banned? have you tried simply changing it? like, rebooting your router until it changes?
